Pixel Counter
Have you heard of the 10,000 Oatmeal Bowls problem? It's a big challenge in procedural content generation for games. Dr. Kate Compton talks about it in a zine "So You Want to Build a Generator...".
Imagine you have 10,000 bowls filled with oatmeal, each containing different pieces and organized in unique ways. Effectively, they are 10,000 different bowls of oatmeal. But to us, they all look the same.
This small demo tries to illustrate this. Each pixel in a 44×44 grid is assigned a random color. Then, each position is compared so we can see how many of them are different. Do the images look the same or different to you?
